Unlimited Light fibre optic cables are properly factory terminated at the tail ends and at the common end (the part that slots into the lightsource).This means that they are glued, ground and polished on machinery designed to achieve optimum and even light output from the fibre optic cables. If you buy a fibre optic lighting kit where you have to cut the cable to your own lengths then these kits are unterminated and they will achieve a far lesser light output than the equivalent terminated kit. If you are cutting the cables yourself then the tail ends will not be completely flat and the fibres wil not be tightly squashed together to form a regular circle. The scallops of light emitted from each point will be noticeably irregular.

If you are comparing prices of kits on the market be warned! Make sure they are terminated. In the majority of cases our factory terminated kits are no more expensive than other lesser quality unterminated kits.
