Unlimited Light was contacted by North Wales based visual artist
Jessica Lloyd Jones who had been commissioned by Mersey Care
NHS Foundation Trust to design and install a light feature in the
main reception area of the new mental health facility at Rowan View,
Merseyside.
The ‘Sun Catcher’ has 49 hollow glass rain drops with a light
refracting film placed inside, each suspended from a fibre optic
end-lit cable. The light passes through the film, refracting and
producing mesmerising effects in the surrounding space.
Unlimited Light manufactured and installed the feature which is fed by
two fibre optic low energy, low maintenance projectors located in an
easily accessible location off to the side of the feature.
Unlimited Light manufactures complete fibre optic lighting kits and bespoke chandeliers in-house in the UK and supplies both domestic and commercial customers with Waldorf and Hilton Hotels amongst their client list.
